The adventure has just started…

I don’t know if I should be proud of myself or not. Packing could be considered my best and worst characteristic. Best because, if necessary, I would be able to pack an elephant in a trolley not larger than a kid’s lunchbox. Bad because I can do exactly this, bring to much stuff even though I try to limit myself with having smaller and smaller bags. So good or bad, who knows. In any case, at this very moment I am somewhere above France, probably in the area of Paris, so who cares? =) Unfortunately the view consists of clouds, clouds and clouds. However the sun is at least enjoyable.

It was a rainy and grey Copenhagen I left this morning at 7.25. I have been many times to Copenhagen airport, also called my second home, but never ever have I experienced so many people in terminal 2. I think I was doing the que just to check in for about half an hour, and then half an hour for the security check as well. Not to mention then that it was 5.40 in the morning and I had 3 heavy bags with me. However I was not bothered since I am on my way to hit the city Lisbon!

Last days in Sweden were filled with work, meeting friends and being with the family. I didn’t start packing until last night and lucky me that my computer started crashing in the morning. My dear brother came to rescue and borrowed me his laptop, which I wouldn’t consider a laptop since it weights tons and is huge (with a 17´ widescreen) However, brand new stuff are quiet nice =) It’s quite fun though looking at this screen and realize that you almost have to move your whole head to see all the corners…

Anyway, I have more or less counted the day until day but somewhere when it started getting really close, I stopped counting and suddenly I’m here. The week started very good with a big injection (vaccination) and then a trip to Växjö to settle the last things. Entering Växjö I got a flat tire and lots of meetings booked. Very nice start... However I got that fixed and got to all meetings in time but had to stress through town as the shops close early (Sweden you know). As we say in Sweden (bad translation): “If the end is good, everything is good” =) Then 4 more days at work when it was quite fun but tiresome as nothing works as it should.

Hey, why am I talking about work and all that, when I’m finally on my way! =) People around me were sad and my mom has been crying for some time now, but to be honest I don’t feel anything but excitement. I am not sad of leaving my “life” back home as I wouldn’t consider it life since there’s nothing going on in a small Swedish town. But am I then going “home”? Since it doesn’t feel like I’m going “away”. Or am I just so damn used to flying now that I think I’m going on vacation (a long one) and then coming back? Who knows and why waste energy thinking when you could just enjoy life and live by it wherever it takes you? =)

So that’s exactly what I’m going to do. Enjoy the flight and then see Lisbon for the first time ever =)

Hasta la vista ;-)

7 Days to go

So you made it.....

Hi, Hej, Cao, Hey, Hola, Grüzie, Bom dia, Ciao and what else is there.... AND welcome to my blog. =)

With only 5 days left before take off, I am starting to be very energetic and excited about this trip! It's gonna be really nice to quit work, leave this small town and finally head to a big city.

The bag is still not packed, but as you know me it woun't be a problem packing the bags full ;-) (however I was a bit proud of myself only packing a small bag for Zürich) And not to forget, what you don't have and you really need, you can buy! (->Shopping!)

At this stage I'm making my colleagues at work irritated by reading information about travelling in Portugal. It's extra fun since most of them just returned from vacation hihi. I have 3 days left at work and I will miss my crazy colleagues, who throw roles at people, do chickenrace with forklifts, play football at the nightshifts etc etc, but hey that's life. Moving on. =)

Well, not knowing really where to start or what to do until Sunday morning, I'm now gonna head to the gym and do my last class in Body Combat. Instead of the gym I look forward to lots of walking and exploring Lisbon as well as all parties and trips. Who knows I might even try out surfing! =)

'Till next time,

Over and out =)
