SLOW DANCE

Have you ever watched kids
On a merry-go-round?
Or listened to the rain
Slapping on the ground?
Ever followed a butterfly's erratic flight?
Or gazed at the sun into the fading night?
You better slow down.
Don't dance so fast.
Time is short.
The music won't last.

Do you run through each day
On the fly?
When you ask How are you?
Do you hear the reply?
When the day is done
Do you lie in your bed
With the next hundred chores
Running through your head?
You'd better slow down
Don't dance so fast.
Time is short.
The music won't last.

Ever told your child,
We'll do it tomorrow?
And in your haste,
Not see his sorrow?
Ever lost touch,
Let a good friendship die
Cause you never had time
To call and say,"Hi"
You'd better slow down.
Don't dance so fast.
Time is short.
The music won't last.

When you run so fast to get somewhere
You miss half the fun of getting there.
When you worry and hurry through your day,
It is like an unopened gift....
Thrown away.
Life is not a race.
Do take it slower
Hear the music
Before the song is over.

Amor é fogo que arde sem se ver

Amor é fogo que arde sem se ver;
É ferida que dói e não se sente;
É um contentamento descontente;
É dor que desatina sem doer;

É um não querer mais que bem querer;
É solitário andar por entre a gente;
É nunca contentar-se de contente;
É cuidar que se ganha em se perder;

É querer estar preso por vontade;
É servir a quem vence, o vencedor;
É ter com quem nos mata lealdade.

Mas como causar pode seu favor
Nos corações humanos amizade,
Se tão contrário a si é o mesmo Amor?

A great start of the week.... Mondays are my favourite.... =)

Getting back from vacation is not the simplest thing but you somehow have to survive it right?

Well Monday started early, with a feeling of a cold. That means after the few hours I got of sleep. I have no problems getting home from Lux at 7 in the morning and then sleeping, but the secret is:
- I had curtains dark enought to make it feel like night
- It's not as bright in Portugal as it is in Sweden by midnight...

Anyway I got up, got to work just to find it took my mailbox about 15 to finish downloading all incoming mail. Then I spent about half of the day trying to sort out a mess at the warehouse. Got home late just to fall down on the sofa reading a book - that was the best part of the day =)

Bu today started even better!! =) I had to be at work at 7am to let some workers in to the warehouse and I was proud of myself being there just a few minutes late. And then I thought why should I let them wait for me, so I went directly to the warehouse and unlocked it, just to find out that the alarm was connected to the main building... I think it was the best wake up call ever!! IF they just would have chosen a sound like that in Lux I would just enjoy it and not run into the mainbuilding trying to stop it... =) The best thing is that you have to call a number to cancel the security guards coming to the place, but of course I didn't have this number so I called one of my bosses. He didn't have a clue either. But after a few minutes he called and said my other boss had fixed it. Cool then no worries.

Until my boss arrived after 8 saying it was really nice getting a wake up call saying: "This is SOS Alarm" Ooppsss.... =))) And even more fun was that he had been working until 3am.-... Thank god I wasn't myself otherwise it would have been rally amusing all day everyone picking on you. But hey, someone has to stand for the entertainment right? =) I see more and more signs saying I probably was a blonde when I was born.... So I might even be a real swede! Lol There are people who can tell that portuguese doors are a bit too easy for me.... =))

Anyway, I'll have to tell about my latest trip to Lisboa another time, now I gotta go and try to sleep. No worries, I woun't be opening the buildings tomorrow.... ;-)

Olaaaaaaa!

Maja's return back home (Lisbon) was great!!
First of all thanks all for making my birthday one of the best ones ever! You're great!!!!
Can't really write much but I thought of a small update - for those of you who might not remeber ;-)

Friday was celebrated in Cafe buenos aires with a nice stake and great company. Not a great night without a party at Papi's!!!!!!!! Woohoooo =) what a cray night guys! Well after lots of wine, fruitshots and the especially dangerous sangria made at the party, we did actually make it to Lux! =))) DJ Vibe IS the man!!! Damn he's good!

Anyway, saturday we went sightseeing and for a piece of o melhor bolo de chocolate de mundo ;-) (of course, you know me...)

Then bairro, beers or even more beers for the people competing in the competition of getting drunkest or surviving the drunkness? can't really remeber this nice contest and I hardly think the people participating do either. If they are sure they were there at all.... ;-) lol

Sunday, sunday... Breakfast at Miradoro da graca, walking in Expo (finding Creon's new office ;-) walking in Alfama (finding the new flat ;-) and shopping at Vasco da Gama (finding the new outfit ;-) Guess I was tired after that because I can't remember what we did more that evening
(except for shopping) =)

Monday, wonderful Monday! I took Karin to a cab so she could catch her flight and then I took a short walk in Saldanha, early in the morning, the sun was just rising and this lovely noise fron the Lisbon pulse... Just a great start!. Then a typical breakfast at ISCTE, (yes the waiter still remembers my croissant com chocolate and my galão ;-))
There the godfather was meeting his King and the rest of the family Kubb *lol* and Eliana was more of a business woman than anyone in the business world. poor girl, don't know what will wait for her at D&T *lol* (well a trip to Sweden for sure!!! =))
I will tell you later about my meeting with my husband Ricardo... It's a stroy on it's own =))

I had a great bacalhau with Eliana and Diana and then we headed downtown for some last shopping. Diana continued to harass her Visa card while I was taken to this beatuiful place by the Andar 3 group for some nice champagne and just the best Tiramisu in the world!
Then a great dinner waited at a really good restaurant called Terra. You shoud try it, it's really cool! when it's OPEN!!!! :-P No, i have to say that there is a great Italian restaurant in lisbon called valentino. try the lasagne ;-)

Then you crazy people surprised me with a lovely party at Aloha bar =))) THANKS!!! I loved it and if it wouldn't have been for so many people, I would have cried.... *lol*

See you in a few days!!! Vem para a praiiiiiiaaaaa =))
